Description: Shows elevation of the land at Manukau harbour mouth from out at sea. A ship steams near entrance. On same sheet as Scrivener's "Bridlington Yorkshire visited 20 November 1882" (B-064-031). On verso of: "Graves of those who were killed at Rangariri, New Zealand 20 Nov 1863 (B-064-028). Description: Shows a panoramic view of the Waitemata Harbour, with Mount Victoria, North Head and Rangitoto in the distance. The Auckland Domain is shown in the foreground with a group of Maori at the left, and a small tree enclosed by protective fencing in the centre. At the right is a felled tree trunk. St Paul's Cathedral is seen surrounded by groups of houses, just to the right of centre, and at the left, the view extends to the inner harbour, and shows St Patrick's? Catholic church (before the spire was built in 18--). There are a number of sailing ships in the harbour. Other Titles - New Zealand Inscriptions: Recto - beneath image - Auckland New Zealand 3 July 1862 Quantity: 1 watercolour(s).
