Description: Photographs of the exhibition held at Logan Park, Dunedin. Two photographs of the pavilions of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition at night, one showing the lights reflected in the ornamental lake in front of the Grand Dome; one of the front entrance to the exhibition area with a tram and cars passing; one showing more of the frontage of the exhibition area including advertising; and one negative with two images of panoramas of the whole site. At least one photograph taken by Blaikie and all printed by Coulls Somerville Wilkie Ltd. Pelichet Bay was drained to create the land on which the exhibition pavilions were built. Description: A large advertising poster for a lecture by Wilkins, printed in navy blue, the text surmounted by the image of the submarine "Nautilus" and itself surmounting the image of a plane with the words "Ellsworth Trans-Atlantic Flight" to the side of the plane. Other Titles - Coulls Somerville Wilkie In 1931, Sir Hubert Wilkins commanded the Nautilus submarine expedition to the Arctic. This was the first submarine to travel under the Arctic pack ice.
