Description: Remains of the house built in Paihia in 1932 for Bishop William Williams taken circa 1910-1913 by Frederick George Radcliffe. Source of descriptive information - First part of the record title, and historical note, from Library client. Relationship complexity - Other later images of the ruins are at PA1-0-141-90 and PAColl-7080-80. This was a stone and plaster house and, after Williams left to go to Te Waimate, was occupied by Charles Baker, before being used to accommodate the Church Mission printing press. William Colenso occupied it with the press 1839-1842 then John Telford 1843-1845. It is a registered historic site (Register 403).
