Description: Colour prints taken by an unidentified photographer during the first Urerwera claimants' hearing for the Waitangi Tribunal at Tataiahape Marae, Te Waimana, in November 2003. The prints were sent to Binney by lawyer David Ambler of barristers and solicitors East Brewster. (Note: the Library does not hold the negatives of these images). lmages show: - exterior of Takutai o te Rangi meeting house. - a ceremony, probably a powhiri in the grounds of the marae. - a group portrait including lawyer David Ambler, and possibly Tama Nikora. - scenes inside the marquee where the hearing was held. - hail on the road at Taneatua after a storm. Description: Prints from three rolls of film taken by Binney in 2002, showing a gathering (probably a Waitangi Tribunal hearing) held at Te Poho o Rukupo meeting house at Manutuke, Gisborne district, and images described by Binney as 'Ohiwa hikoi'. Corresponding negatives are at 35mm-99919-99923, 99928-99929, 99933-99937 - Images at Te Poho o Rukupo meeting house were taken between 28th February to 1 March 2002 and show people inside, including three images showing Toko Te Kani, Dawn Pomana and Hare Pohatu during a ceremony where Dawn Pomana received the mauri for Ngai Tamanuhiri. Also group portraits taken outside the house showing men, women and children from Nga Uri o Te Kooti Rikirangi, also known as Nga Uri, a whanau group who descend from Te Kooti Rikirangi.
