Description: The papers consist of: Application form submitted by Dean William Taylor; history of the Taylor family; family tree compiled by Doreen Taylor, and updated by Graham Taylor 2001; `Bill's journey (Eric William Taylor, 1935- )'; programme for church service held during the Taylor family reuniom, Apr 2001 at Flemington Church; maps of the Ashburton area (1926 & 1990) showing land ownership; photographs. Original owner was Thomas Cunningham Taylor who purchased 200 acres in 1873 near Ashburton. In 2007 the property originally named Ford Creek Farm, Ashton was renamed `Ahitana', the Maori named for Ashton. In 2007 the farm was owned by Thomas' great-great-grandson Dean Taylor. In 2006 the property was awarded the New Zealand Century Farm and Station award to mark over 100 years of continuous ownership by one family. Quantity: 1 folder(s).
