Description: Album of photographs taken by Thomas Andrew during a Pacific voyage on Henderson and Macfarlane schooner "Buster", leaving Auckland 19 September 1886, and calling at Niue, Manihiki, Suwarrow, Starbuck Island (where they rescued the crew of the Swedish barque Diana), Christmas Island, Swains Island (now part of American Samoa), Nauru, Tokelau, Gilbert, Ellice, Marshall and Caroline groups. They returned to Auckland in April 1887. Several photographs show ruined stone buildings at Ponape (Pohnpei), including one view of four men sitting in a boat at the entrance to a canal leading to the ruins The final photograph in the album is a group portrait of the Federal Convention 1891 Inscriptions: Album page - "From Mr S.
