The General Plan shows the junction of the Mongatainoko [i.e. Mangatainoka] and Manawatu Rivers including the main road and Rossline to Napier. The provinces of Wellington and Hawke's Bay are marked and an area of Government land. Figure 1 is an enlargement of the Mongatainoko [i.e. Mangatainoka] River crossed by the main road. Includes two limits of deviation, a Maori track. An area of totara bush is marked. Figure 2 is an enlargement of the junction of the Tiraumea and Manawatu Rivers, the latter is crossed by the main road. Includes two limits of deviation, Ngawapurua Maori Settlement and Maori cultivations. An area of low ground is marked. Enlarged scales have been used for Figures 1 and 2.
