This photograph was used (with the image reversed) in a 1930s poster advertising the Labour Party, with the caption `Relief workers cheaper than horses' - see `The Sugarbag Years' by Tony Simpson, pages 56 and 92. Page 92 attributes this photogaph to W B Sutch, however, it was taken by Jerermy Garvitch. Inscriptions: bottom centre - Written in biro on original - J V Garvitch. Photo.
