Description: Shows "Belhaven", house of Dr Peter Wilson, who settled in Wanganui in February 1841. The house was on the corner of Wilson and Ridgway Streets. It is shown as a two-storied building, with an outbuilding to the left, a hill behind (with flagstaff) and a cleared fenced garden, with fern and flax outside the fence. The Wanganui River with a sailing boat and possibly the sea beyond, can be seen to the left Cf. A-036-009 (back view of same house). Cf. TL 3/1/1, 2/11/80. Annotated on verso by Dr Peter Wilson.
