Description: A scene in Cathedral Square, Christchurch, circa 1902, showing Warner's Hotel in the centre. Adjacent to the hotel can be seen construction starting on the Lyttelton Times building. A tram and a group of horse drawn carriages are in the middle ground. On the left, a group of people cross the tram lines, and, to the left of them, a man rides a bicycle. Puddles of water are on the road. Library client supplied dates for the completion of Warners Hotel, and the construction of the Lyttelton Times building, March 2011. Warners Hotel was completed in 1901, and the Lyttelton Times building was constructed ca 1902-1904. Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s).
