Description: A scene in Cathedral Square, Christchurch, circa 1902, showing Warner's Hotel in the centre. Adjacent to the hotel can be seen construction starting on the Lyttelton Times building. A tram and a group of horse drawn carriages are in the middle ground. On the left, a group of people cross the tram lines, and, to the left of them, a man rides a bicycle. Puddles of water are on the road. Library client supplied dates for the completion of Warners Hotel, and the construction of the Lyttelton Times building, March 2011.
