Description: Steep partially-cleared hills behind a row of single-storied houses, three larger, three very small. A large fenced vegetable growing area in front, with a path winding through the centre. The scene could be in the Hutt Valley or Wellington, but bears a strong resemblance to Richard Taylor's ink & wash drawing titled 'Wanganui Hospital & Mr Nixon's house, Nov. 27 1857' (E-296-q-146-3) A view of Wellington Harbour is on the verso of this page.
