Description: An extensive view of the city of Christchurch, taken from the balcony on the spire of Christchurch Cathedral and looking south across Cathedral Square and along Colombo Street towards the Port Hills. Horse-drawn trams and carts are much in evidence in the Square. The building to the left of the entrance to Colombo Street is the Bank of New Zealand.
