Description: Shows three workers in the CCDU (Christchurch Central Development Unit) office making paper dolls, swans and cranes out of public submissions. The CCDU was formed to modify the CCC's (Christchurch City Council) Recovery Plan after its initial proposal was rejected by the Earthquake recovery minister. In April 2013 the CCDU was formed within CERA (Christchurch Earthquake Recovery Authority) to develop a final Recovery Plan and were given 100 days in which to develop a document for the minister's approval. The public were not involved in this 100 day process, although had been invited to contribute to the 'share an idea' campaign run by the CCC. The cartoon reflects the public feeling in Christchurch that their ideas were not being taken into account by the CCDU and CERA. Quantity: 1 digital cartoon(s).
