Description: Looking north over Darlington, Totara and Nevay Roads, in Miramar. Weka Road is on the left. Photograph taken in 1938 by William Hall Raine. This photograph was published in the Evening Post on 23 December 1938 with the caption "Wellington's motor camp for the Exhibition [New Zealand Centennial Exhibition, 1939-1940] and afterwards is to be formed at the head of the Miramar valley, approached by Darlington Road. The site is well sheltered from the prevailing northerly winds and is about two miles from the Exhibition grounds. Levelling work is to be commenced at once. Darlington Road is in the middle of the picture, and Totara Road and Nevay Road run along the hill-side on the right and Weka Street on the left."
