Description: French sailors from Dumont d'Urville's ship the Astrolabe washing their clothes and relaxing by a stream flowing out into Astrolabe Roadstead, Tasman Bay (now Watering Bay, part of the Abel Tasman track). Trees growing from rocks to the left and right of the sailors and a large rock formation with trees at the water's edge in the middle ground.
