Description: Hand-drawn map which shows topographic features, vegetation and the boundary of Reserve 2652. Shows the land to the south of the reserve to the Tasman River. Pencil note on map says 'T N Brodrick?'. Lettering on map is not the same as other maps by Brodrick. Phillip Temple believes that the map was drawn by Wright based on a letter by Wright to J H Baker, Canterbuy Chief Surveyor, in 1884 in which he refers to the features, names and numbers shown on the map and recommending that the area be put under reserve. The reserve was created in 1885. W C Wright is listed as a surveyor for the Canterbury District of the Survey Dept under J H Baker, Chief Surveyor, by Wises New Zealand post office directory, 1883-4 Quantity: 1 manuscript map(s). Physical Description: Ink on dressed linen, coloured, 53 x 31.7 cm.
