A wreath can be seen laid at the base of the statue. The fountain and statue are surrounded by a metal fence. Mount St John Domain is in the distance. Auckland. 709 The fountain and statue were erected at the Manukau Road entrance to Cornwall Park by public subscription in appreciation of the donor's generosity.
