Description: View of the memorial fountain and statue of Sir John Logan Campbell at the Manukau Road entrance to Cornwall Park. The statue depicts Sir John in mayoral robes, holding the Deed of Gift. A wreath can be seen laid at the base of the statue. The fountain and statue are surrounded by a metal fence. Mount St John Domain is in the distance. Photograph taken by William A Price, possibly on the death of Sir John Logan Campbell, Jun 1912. Inscriptions: Photographer's title on negative - bottom left - Cornwall Park. Auckland. 709 The fountain and statue were erected at the Manukau Road entrance to Cornwall Park by public subscription in appreciation of the donor's generosity.
