A LARGE FLOOD IN THE ARROW RIVER.—The above photo, was taken during the heavy rain of aturday, October 17. The tunnel into which the Arrow River flows is 1103 ft in length, with a fall of 50ft. It is also 12ft wide by 12ft high. Two shafts are sunk into the tunnel each 100 ft deep, and 12ft by 10ft wide. This laTge opening was not'sufficient for the great volume of w-ater that was coming dbwn the river, and the water rose 95ft from the tunnel level, giving 95ft of vertical pressure.
