Two cars were badly damaged in a head-to-head collision on the Sanson-Bulls road on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. E. W. Ford, of Wellington, was bringing his family home from a motor tour in the larger car. The other, driven by Mr. F. Young, also of Wellington, got out of control in some loose shingle, and, running over a culvert, dashed Into Mr. Ford's car, which had pulled up. Mr. Ford and his wife, son, and daughter all suffered minor Injuries. Mr. Young was wounded in the leg and his companion, Mr. S. Carson, was unconscious.. They were taken by a passing motorist to a Marton hospital, where it was found that their injuries were not serious. (Evening Post, 05 January 1928)
