Collection of photographs taken during the time Sir Thomas Berry Cusack Smith was British Consul in Samoa. Scenes of Samoan life, including groups of Samoans; one group of men and women holding traditional weapons; three women preparing kava; views of the British Consulate building in Apia; scenic views of coconut palms, taro plantations, and waterfalls; traditional fale (Samoan houses), and canoes; one view of a cemetery, and one scene of sailors on board the USS Mohican. Some of the photographs were taken by J. Davis, but in most cases the photographer is unidentified (possibly Cusack Smith himself).
