Description

Medal recto shows a profile head of Albert, consort of Queen Victoria. The verso shows a wreath of laurel leaves, around the words "For service".

The medal appears to have been presented to James Glaisher, the father of Cecilia Appeline Glaisher, wife of Frederick Everard Hunt. James Glaisher was the maternal grandfather of Frederick Knight Hunt, amongst whose papers this medal came to the Library
