Also includes photographs from 1937 of a trip to Piha by the Curnows, Rex and Geoff Fairburn, Prof(?) Description: Four different labels manufactured by Quality Transfer Co. (S.I.) Ltd and by Sneddon Hayward (N.Z.) Ltd, for Cadbury's, makers of Bourn-Vita. These label transfers were issued in canisters of Bourn-Vita. Each decal shows an oval floral wreath in the centre, and the names of four food products above and below: 1. Flour, [used], currants, cocoa 2. Flour, cocoa, sago, tapioca (2 copies) 3. Biscuits, tea, rice, peanuts 4. [Used], walnuts, oatmeal, coffee Verso gives instructions about how to cut up and apply the transfers to containers. States that "every Bourn-vita canister has a similar transfer with a choice of four name slips. There are 12 different combinations of 4 - altogether 24 different name slips, enabling you to collect a lovely set that will add the finishing touch to your kitchen". A large number are standing watching proceedings in frame two. Frames 3 to 9 show a pair of pottery figures in the shape of a king and queen in an unidentified gallery.
