Tall conifers to the right, part of a castle on top of a hill at a lower level, looking down into a valley surrounded with steep hills. May show Switzerland and the Rhone Valley, rather than the Rhine
Another very similar work, (A-196-010, The Rhone Valley) lends support to the idea that this may be the Rhone valley.
