Description: Shows the oak tree in Silton, Devonshire, known as Judge Wyndham's oak because the 17th century judge used to hold his court under it. The oak tree has a thick, gnarled trunk and hardly any leaves. Inscriptions: Verso - The old Judge's oak which the family were so fond of Albin Martin was born in Silton and lived there as a farmer, 1844 to 1851 before coming to New Zealand.
