Copies made by Antoine Chazal of the original drawings by LeJeune; also several original drawings by Chazal, one by Duperrey and three by Blosseville. Engravings and aquatints, hand-coloured by Chazal and uncoloured proofs by Tardieu after the drawings of Chazal, prepared for publication in Louis Isidore Duperrey - Voyage autour du monde ...sur la corvette de sa Majeste La Coquille ... 1822, 1823, 1824 et 1825 ... Paris, 1826. Atlas historique. Plates 1-60. Also includes title page and type part-cover with decorative border and handwritten label. Contents include portraits of Chileans and Peruvians, portraits and landscapes of New Zealand, the Society Islands including Tahiti, New Ireland (Papua New Guinea), New Guinea, Caroline Islands and St Helena.
