Description: Shows a view of Fare Harbour with peaked mountains in the back. In the bay are the `Resolution' and the `Discovery', and many native craft. There are palm trees at the centre and the far right. By the shore a group of natives are tending a double canoe with a deck-house. In the background and along the shore are native huts. Description: Shows the village of Fare, the missionary station, harbour and the sailing ship John Williams, with the London Missionary Society former ship Camden, lying at anchor in the background. A Tahitian canoe is in the water close to the ship and homes and other buildings are visible at the water's edge. Dimensions of ship given. cf. oil by R.
