Description: Shows in the right foreground, a fishing boat with one end raised and thickened, trailing a net on an outrigging in the water. l boats further off, and the shore in the background shows dwellings at the water's edge. There are mountains in the background. Plate 167 in Domeny de Rienzi's book. In the French edition, Danvin is inscribed as the copyist, and Chavannes as the engraver. However, the engraving in the Italian edition is cruder. According to their text, this is likely to be the young woman who on Raiatea in Oct 1777 warned Captains Cook and Clerke that there was a plot to kill them. Description: View of a curved bay, with houses along the water's edge under palm trees, with bush-covered hills behind. There is one substantial larger house or church at the water's edge. Two figures paddle a small boat with outrigger in the centre foreground, and there is a boat with a sail at the right. A church at Huahine (perhaps the building seen on the foreshore in this scene) is mentioned in the account of the voyage of the ship "Collingwood" on which the artist sailed.
