Photographs relating to the Canterbury earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 taken by Ross Becker on 9 October 2011 showing images taken in Christchurch City and the eastern suburbs.
Images taken in the city include: memorial decorations (including a photographs of a young boy) and people at the Bridge of Remembrance, Establishment Apartments under demolition, Peterborough Street, Rose Historic Chapel, a digger at St Luke's church, the city as seen from Overdale Drive, Cashmere, and a panoramic photograph of the city skyline.
Images taken in the eastern suburbs show: sand volcanoes, liquefaction damage, cracks in driveway, and ground fissures at Seabreeze Close, Orari Street, Locksley Avenue, and Otakoro Place, Bexley.
Images taken in Avonside and the Avon loop show: Anzac Drive bridge, deep fissures in the earth, houses (including 392 Oxford Terrace, the home of Elsie and Jack Locke) and a motel on Oxford Terrace, and demolition at Holy Trinity Avonside Anglican Church.
