Description

Card advertising the Co-Operative Wholesale Society features a pop-up three-dimensional grocery shop counter, and inside, an account of the CWS, with photographs of its first store at Rochdale, a colliery at Shilbottle, a clothing factory at Broughton, ironworks at Keighley, boot and shoe works at Leicester, biscuit factory at Crumpsall, and a cabinet factory at Radcliffe. One panel shows an illustration by Harry Rountree of a mother rabbit returning home from the Co-Op with her many children and exclaiming to her husband "Look what we got for the money!"
