Description

Depicts the 'Maritime Unions' as an angry man jumping on an unexploded sea mine (labelled 'Old fashioned public patience'). The mine sits on the edge of a wharf and the man is pointing at a ship in the distance. Refers to the visit of the nuclear powered USS Truxtun to Wellington Harbour and subsequent strike action by maritime unions. The Port of Wellington was closed to all ships by the strike, including the inter-island ferries.
