Description: Contains papers relating to Hone Tuwhare, including copy of 'No ordinary sun' with inscription in Maori to Mitchell and a telegram (5 Mar 1979) and letter (11 Jul 1979) from Tuwhare to Mitchell. Letter relates trip Tuwhare took to Westport with "Rewi" a resident at Ashburn Hall and New Zealand Students Arts Council poetry tour with other poets, including Alistair Te Ariki Campbell and Sam Hunt. Also includes newspaper clipping relating to tour visiting Wanganui Girls' College and Tuwhare's two poems 'The river is an island' and 'Old comrade' published in the New Zealand Listener in 1979 as well as typescript of poem 'Solitary confinement' by Meg Campbell, also published in the Listener 14 Apr 1979.
