Description

1925 certificate based on or orders given to a sailor or sailors on the ship "Golden Hind", captained by Sir Francis Drake. Above the text is an illustrative map of "The world in the time of Cabot", signed MacDonald Gill 1924.

Verso is rubber-stamped at the New Zealand section of the British Empire Exhibition, 21 Sep 192[5].

The "Golden Hind" circumnavigated the globe between 1577 and 1580.
