Photographs of protest in Parliament Grounds, Wellington, on 6 July 2011 against construction of Kapiti Expressway taken by Dylan Owen. Includes views of protestors walking across road and into Parliament Grounds, protestors holding placards and banners, Members of Parliament lined up including Kris Fa'afoi, Labour MP, placards and two toy trucks lampooning Steven Joyce, Transport Minister and Nathan Guy, National MP for Otaki, two musicians performing for crowd, woman holding Green Party flag, TVNZ news cameraman photographing protestors.
Forty-three homes will be demolished under the proposal and a further 33 affected under the planned route for the McKays to Peka Peka expressway which is part of the Wellington Northern Corridor Route of National Significance.
