Description

Folded programme showing photograph of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi (unveiled in 2007 near Wellington Railway Station). The 2012 ceremony was to be led by Shree Shreeman Naginbhai Neil Gelabhai Patel, and deputy mayor Ian McKinnon was the Master of Ceremonies. Other participants were Naliniben Naginbhai Patel, Mayr Celia Wade-Brown, High Commissioner Sanjay Verm, NZ First MP Asenati Lole-Taylor. The programme ends with the words "Ahimsa Parmo Dharmo" (Non-violence is the greatest religion).
