Photographs of Maori carving, in buildings, sculptures, tools and weapons. Most taken by unidentified photographers, at unidentified sites, but a few taken by Pulman Photo, and James Valentine; at Ohinemutu Pa, at Te Wairoa (section of a carved house), and Lake Rotorua.
A number of scenes show thatched houses, including some with flax thatching, some with groups of Maori.
