Negative of this medallion by Steffano Webb is 1/2-009139
On acquisition this medallion was believed to show Mary Howitt, wife of William Howitt. The subject was re-identified in 2014 by Australian researcher Barbara Kane, as Edith Howitt, niece of William and Mary Howitt. Edith Howitt was briefly engaged to the sculptor in Melbourne.
