Description

Portraits of two Maori women and a girl, probably from the Bay of Islands. All three are dressed in woven flax garments and appear to be wearing European-style necklaces. 'Amoko' on the left and 'Eana' in the centre both have ear adornments. Eana has moko on her chin. Earle described the two women left and centre as being about 25 years old, and 'Hepee [on the right] about 13 years old, is one of Amoko's slaves'.
