Description: Shows an illustration of about 50 screws, bolts, joints, nuts, washers, bushes and pins that make up the shear. A correspondent reports that this Lister shearing handpiece was a 1909 copy of the 1906 Wolseley No 3 sheep shearing handpiece made by Dangar, Gedye & Co. Lister was able to produce the handpiece when Dangar Gedye and Co's patent expired. (Correspondent gives reference to "This century of ours", by A D Fraser (Sydney, 1938), page 202).
