- Description
Shows a man ostentatiously lighting a cigarette in front of two jealous onlookers. In the background, a figure paces, and another crawls.
Written commentary on the facing page says: "In the subsequent crises, Feby/March 1945, cigs and tobacco reached the fantastic level of 70 stg per 100 cigs or 4oz tobacco. Goon rye & potato bread 20-25 stg per 1500 gram (approx 3 1/4 lbs) loaf! A Capone and J Diamond were nice kindly characters compared to some of the gentry hereabouts!"
