Topographic and military map from the New Zealand war of 1843 to 1847. Shows the road leading to Heke's Pa from Waka's Pa, three miles distant, along which the forces advanced. Rocket positions are marked, as is the position of the main body and reserves, also the position of the storming party. Numbers of men in each party are recorded. The valley of the charge on Kawiti is marked and the place where Kawiti first appeared is noted. Some topographic features are described.
