Description

The upper view shows two black men walking with a long stick between them on their shoulders. Large fish are suspended from the stick. They are followed by a black woman, a baby on her back and a large basket of fruit on her head. The lower view shows a single man with a similar long stick, holding suspended dead birds. He is observed by another man, possibly Chinese, with a long plait down his back.

Inscriptions: Pencil inscription on the verso of A-209-031, referring to numbers A-209-031 to -038 'D. J. A.'s old drawings'
