Report of a survey party under the Aeradio Committee of the NZ Meteorological Service investigating the establishment of radio and meteorological stations in the South Pacific, the Kermadec Islands and in particular Raoul Island. The reports summarise activities during July 1937 by various members of the party together with photographs illustrating terrain and recommendations. A supplement issued in 1943 is described as a pictorial record of essential features of construction works and conditions of establishment as at 1943.
The report includes geographical, geological and historical material and scientific, surveying, botanical and zoological reports, with descriptions of early settlers and settlements
