Construction works during the straightening of Northland Road, Wellington, after the Northland tunnel was completed. Mr Guise owned the property in the foreground. Photograph taken in the 1920s by a staff photographer for the Evening Post.
Mr Guise would not allow Council workers on to his property when they were working on this project. (Information from back of file print)
