Alfred Barker's shipboard journal covers events 20 Sep-11 Dec 1850. Includes a journal kept by Emma Baker between 12 Sep 1850-19 Mar 1851 in which she describes in detail what shipboard life was like for a cabin passenger, and the difficulties of setting up a home in the first few months after landing. Also includes facsimile of agreement on grazing rights between Maori and William and John Deans inserted at end
