An extensive view of the White Terraces seen from the side, with two men standing on the edge of one of the lower terraces and Lake Rotomahana in the background
Drawn from a similar angle to the A. D. Willis chromolithograph of the same subject published in Edward Wakefield's 'New Zealand Illustrated' (Wanganui, 1889). However there are far more people in the New Zealand Illustrated version. Both images are likely to be based on a photograph.
