Account of voyage from Gravesend to Port Chalmers on the vessel `Margaret Galbraith'. Hilliker was travelling in the single men's compartment and his brief daily entries record the ship's progress, vessels sighted, weather and events on board. He arrived at Port Chalmers on 9 Jan and took the steamer to Oamaru, his final destination, arriving on 20 Jan 1875.
The account is written in the form of a letter which was probably posted back to relatives in England
