New Zealand High Commissioner Sir Thomas Noble MacKenzie drinking coffee with son Clutha Nantes MacKenzie, left, at an outdoors YMCA 'canteen' resembling those near the front line on the Western Front. (The display may be associated with the Lord Mayor's Show) A uniformed woman stands with them (daughter?) and another woman. A soldier stands in the middle. Crowds appear in the background. Clutha Mackenzie was blinded at Chunuk Bair in 1915. Invalided to England, he eventually edited the Chronicles of the NZEF.
