Paul Thompson's photographs and papers. Chiefly 21 ring binders of Thompson's photographic archive of negatives, proof sheets, enlargements (mainly black and white), essays, correspondence, published articles, and ephemera, compiled between 1970 and 2009. Also 978 colour transparencies of New Zealand baches.

-Colour slides of Theo Schoon's signature taken circa 1947
-Photographic prints of Hardwicke Knight's house and garden in Dunedin taken in 1985

Description: Series of photographic collages of Gallipoli by Paul Thompson, housed in a military pouch within a wooden box, comprising material from Gallipoli and New Zealand from 1985-1991. Thompson originally took the photographs at Gallipoli in 1985. He compiled a series of collages comprising material from Gallipoli and New Zealand in colour and monochrome. He then re-photographed and cibachromed the work. The photographs were exhibited at the Dowse Art Gallery, Lower Hutt, over Anzac weekend in 1988. They inspired poetry by Alan Loney and a series of 6 hand-made books were made in 1991, one of which is held in ATL Special Printed Collections. Quantity: 8 colour original photographic print(s). Description: This plaster sculpture, designed and executed by James Ingram McDonald, was commissioned with the intention that it would occupy the centre of the entrance hall of the exhibition. Ultimatly it was relegated to the main corridor and instead the entrance hall featured a large onamental fountain. After the exhibition the sculpture was dismembered and ended up in a farm shed in South canterbury. The only surviving part of the group is a figure of a cloaked woman in the Waimate Museum Quantity: 1 colour original photographic print(s). 2 colour copy photographic print(s).
