Description: Two photographic prints, and newspaper cuttings, originally filed loose in the pages of album PA1-o-1762 relating to World War I One photograph is of a military boxing match, possibly taken during the reunion of the Wellington Regiment at Awapuni racecourse, Palmerston North, 1929. The other photograph includes two chairs and decorated with coats of arms for 'Wellington' and 'Christchurch'. Photographer, date, and location unidentified. The newspaper cuttings are from circa 1940s and include photographs and text of a range of subjects comprising: Lord Freyberg; obituary of Mr J R Simpson; Mr Harry Amos; Kiwi Revue Company; proposed building on Lambton Quay, Wellington, for the New Zealand Dairy Board and the New Zealand Meat Producers Board Quantity: 2 b&w original photographic print(s). 8 newspaper cuttings.

Description: Album was compiled by George Gordon Denniston and is mainly comprised of 61 captioned official World War I photographs (H series) taken by Henry Armytage Sanders, photographer and cinematographer to New Zealand Expeditionary Force in France and Belgium, 1917-1918. The Prince of Wales features in one of the images. Five images are of the Kiwi Concert Party. Also includes four photographs taken by J H Daroux and ephemera relating to a reunion of the Wellington Regiment at Awapuni racecourse, Palmerston North in 1929; and original autographs, taken during the 1929 reunion, of seven New Zealand holders of the Victoria Cross including Frickleton, Judson, Laurent, J Crichton, J G Grant. Accompanying information - Prints and newspaper cuttings that were formerly loose in this album have been placed at PAColl-9964.
